Hey everyone! So I was scrolling down my Instagram feed the other week and saw a photo that had been posted by Makeup Revolution (@makeuprevolution) of six blush & bronze palettes which were absolutely beautiful. They were so saturated and I just knew that I had to get my hands on one. So off I trotted into my local Superdrug, and what did I find? Every single palette was out of stock, typical! After sulking for all of ten minutes, and then comforting myself with a late lunch at Pizza Express with my mother, I finally decided to have a look on the Superdrug website. Some may say this was a huge mistake as I ended up ordering way more than I had intended to, but I say it was a blessing in disguise as I now own some of the most gorgeous pieces of makeup that have truly added to my cosmetics collection.
The blush & bronze palette that I decided to purchase was in the shade 'Golden Sugar'. I chose this one as I thought it would be perfect for contouring, highlighting and blush. I don't usually wear too much blush as I prefer quite a bronzed look so I appreciated that there were no harsh pink tones and these blushes just added a little bit of warmth to the apples of my cheeks. When I tested this palette out I was amazed at how pigmented each of the powders were, and even more impressed by how big the mirror was. I would highly recommend this to those in need of an all-in-one face palette that is an absolute steal at £6.00!
As I mentioned, I purchased a little more than I intended, so it is only fair that I talk about those items too. I use my Makeup Revolution 'Romantic Smoked Redemption Palette' on a daily basis so I wanted to branch out and try another of their eyeshadow palettes. It was pretty challenging to decide which one to pick as they are all so beautiful but in the end I opted for the 32 Ultra Professional Eyeshadows palette in 'Affirmation'. It has a great range of shades and a variety of both matte and shimmery shadows for only £8.00. The quality is amazing, like my existing palette, and there is no fall-down which is a must for me when it comes to buying eyeshadows. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the mirror was so big with it being the same size as the one in the blush & bronze palette. The names of each eyeshadow are also a lovely detail with positive words such as 'Accept', 'Hope' and 'Truth'.
The next items that I purchased were two lipsticks; a peachy nude titled 'Game of Mystery' and a red-ish pink called 'Propoganda'. They are both highly pigmented and have an incredibly creamy consistency which I am a huge fan of. The packaging is also amazing with hints of rose gold to create a sophisticated appearance, despite them being only £2.49 each! I then bought two lipliners as I rarely ever wear lipliner and it is something I am trying to incorporate into my makeup a lot more. I selected the peachy nude liner called 'The One' in hopes that it would match the Game of Mystery lipstick and I was very happy to find out that they go perfectly together! I also bought a deep plum liner called 'Rebel' which funnily enough matches with my 'Rebel' lipstick from MAC. I am so pleased with the colour and quality of all of these lip products so I will definitely be purchasing more shades to add to my collection. Plus, I don't have to worry about breaking the bank because the lipliners cost me £1.00 each.
Overall, I was very pleased with all of my purchases and I would highly recommend Makeup Revolution products to everyone as I am a big fan! They have great dupes of products from high-end makeup brands for a fraction of the price which I love. They have also just released two new palettes: a contour palette and a corrector palette, so I will definitely be looking into making a few more purchases!
